At this office, we have established policies and regulations that are strictly followed without exception. It is important for all patients to familiarize themselves with these guidelines and indicate their agreement to adhere to them. If you are a minor, we require the signature of a parent or guardian. One of our key policies relates to appointments. While we strive to accommodate all patients, appointments are scheduled based on availability. In case of emergencies, we will make every effort to fit you in, but please bear with us if this causes a slight delay. We appreciate your patience and understanding in such situations. It is essential to notify us at least 24 hours in advance if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Failure to do so or missed appointments will incur a fee, which is clearly communicated in our posted fee schedule. Furthermore, missed appointments will result in a hold on prescription refills until the fee is paid. However, if you prefer to wait and be seen without a specific appointment time, you are welcome to do so.
Our billing process and handling of insurance claims are conducted as a courtesy to our patients. Any outstanding balance owed will be sent to you in the form of a statement. It is crucial to settle these financial obligations promptly. Accounts that remain 90 days past due will be automatically transferred to a collection agency. Please note that our office staff is unable to address specific billing inquiries. If you have any questions regarding your bill, we kindly request that you speak directly with our manager, who will be able to assist you further. We appreciate your cooperation in matters related to billing and insurance, as it allows us to maintain efficient and effective services for all our patients.
Co-pays are a standard requirement in our office and must be collected at check-in before you see the doctor, unless you have Medicare and a supplement policy. Co-payments are non-refundable, and we strictly adhere to this policy without exceptions. Additionally, it is essential to understand that certain insurance companies mandate the use of specific labs for any necessary blood work. Consequently, all blood work will be billed through the designated lab rather than our office. If your insurance does not cover the lab bill, it will be your responsibility to settle the payment. We strive to provide the highest quality of care, and adherence to these policies allows us to maintain a smooth workflow and better serve all of our patients.
